The Summer Foundation owns and maintains the Building Better Lives website (referred to as the Site hereafter) and the information and materials contained within it (referred to as the Content hereafter). The Summer Foundation highly values our relationship with you and the other users of the site and we recognize that you may be concerned about our collection, use or disclosure of your personally identifiable information that we may collect when you use our site.  We have therefore implemented this Privacy & Security Policy to inform you of the information that we collect from you, how we collect this information and what we do with it after we collect it, in addition to other general security points.

Online security commitment
Your personal information will always be treated with the greatest of care by The Summer Foundations. Sensitive payment information such as credit card details are NEVER stored on the Internet with our system.

Personal information that may be collected online
The Summer Foundation collects personal information online when you sign up for e-mail newsletters, e-mail an enquiry or suggestion, or fill in a form.  The information collected will include your name, postal address, e-mail address and phone numbers.

How personal information collected online may be used
The Summer Foundation will use your personal information only for the purposes of contacting you as you have indicated. This contact includes but is not limited to; sending e-mail newsletters, sending tax invoices, and sending requests for feedback.  .

How personal information collected online may be shared
The Summer Foundation will never sell or rent your personal information to any other business or entity.  We may only release personal information under the following circumstances; where release is required by law (for example by subpoena), where release is requested by a government agency; where our records indicate a company or an individual may be engaged in fraudulent activity or other deceptive practices that a governmental agency should be made aware of.

IP address collection and usage
Please note that by default all web server log files capture IP addresses. The Summer Foundation may use your IP address if required to help resolve problems with our server, administer our website and to track web usage.  This information is used internally only and is not shared with anyone else.

Being included in and removed from our e-mail newsletters
You will be included in the The Summer Foundation/Building Better Lives e-mail newsletters if you subscribe to our e-mail newsletters. You may unsubscribe from the e-mail newsletters whenever you wish (all e-mail newsletters contain a link to unsubscribe) and if done you will not receive e-mail newsletters from us again.

Security regarding Viruses
All possible care is taken by The Summer Foundation to ensure that our site and all associated data transmissions are free from viruses, however it is your ultimate responsibility to scan any such data for viruses.

Third party exclusions
Our Site may contain links to other sites.  Please note that The Summer Foundation is not responsible for the privacy or security practices or the content of any of those linked sites.  You enter any linked sites at your own risk.

Revisions to this policy, conditions of use and notices
The Summer Foundation Privacy & Security Policy may change over time as the Australian Federal Government introduces new or revises existing legislation.  As such, the use of information which we gather now is subject to those policies and terms as modified.
